January 2004 ~ Southern Snow
The snow that we had this year was UNBELIEVABLE!  I've seen a bit of snow here and there in my life, but never have I seen this much.. In all my life put together!  We measured 19 inches outside our back door.  It was wild.  A far cry from California, that's for sure!  The entire city was pretty much closed down for 2 whole days.  Nobody went to work.  Mr Dad & I had a blast playing in the snow.  We went and explored the woods, threw snowballs, and fell a bit too!  Here are some pictures we took...  I think you'll enjoy!

These trees were amazing!  Here I was standing between a bunch of them.  They were HUGE trees that had just bent over from the weight of the snow on them.  When the snow began to melt, would you believe they just sprang right back up!?
I think this is one of my most favorite pictures of Mr. Dad.  (And not just because I took the picture!)  We had so much fun working our way through the trees and just enjoying the nature!  Dad said it was "MAGICAL".  I think that's just the word to describe it.
From the backyard looking towards the back of the house.  It looks so serene and peaceful.

That's me at the top of the driveway.  And that's my truck buried right behind me!!
Getting ready to throw another snowball!
Umm, yeah, sign me right up to eat out on the deck!  I actually think it's pretty neat the way the table looked so perfectly mounded!
