I started this page as a quick way to keep track of all the great sites I found and bookmarked while I was studying.. and I found myself sending people links all the darn time... so here is my little contribution... from one struggling student to another! Cheers!
There's a lot of stuff on this page.. Feel free to scroll to browse, but If you know what you are looking for, then click here to jump right to that section of this page. Each section has a link to bring you back here to the top.
Histology Review Carousels - The site is actually geared toward Med Students, but I found this page very helpful while studying types of tissue for anatomy!
Assessment tools
School $$ - Scholarships, etc.
Graphics on this page courtesy of Graphic Garden. Thanks Helena for creating another great set!
The Rale Repository - You can purchase, the lung sounds program with full tutorials, but you don't have to. This site offers free demos - and is a great opportunity to listen to normal and abnormal breathing sounds, such as wheezes and crackles, etc.
Care Plan Corner - Has a couple of dozen common care plans - great to get you started to customize toward your patient!
The Auscultation Assistant - Awesome site! Gives examples of all different kinds of murmurs, both systolic, & diastolic, along with a little bit of explanation on each. Also offers some lung sounds, but if you are looking for more samples of lung sounds, go to the Rale Repositort!

Notable Nursing Notes - Nursing Fundamentals lecture notes for Ms White's class available for .pdf download. Must have adobe installed on your computer. If you don't have it, get it here.
Online A&P Course Compass - Not really sure where I should file this one, but since I'm using it for anatomy, I'm putting it here. Do you have the Marieb A&P book? If your book came with the "My A&P Course Compass" Student Access Kit, I highly recommend that you check it out!! From here, you can make flashcards from text vocabulary, and even quiz yourself on the bones you looked at in the lab!
Loyola Master Muscle List - This site is great, because you can look at muscles either alphabetically, or by region of the body. (if you are studying muscles of the lower limbs, for example) Site includes origin, insertion, action & innervations - perfect for your anatomy reviews! I like it especially when I need to do a quick overview, for basic concepts, and understanding of "which way the muscle goes!"
APA Format Guide Because I think it's stupid that nurses should have to learn to write in APA format for one class... something we'll probably never have to do again. Don't buy the APA book.. here's a link that shows you how to follow APA style.
U of Arizona: The Biology Project I found this site while trying to understand karyotyping & meiosis. It's colorful and got great graphics & pictures. It's got all kinds of biology, genetics, & physiology stuff. Great site just to play around in!
